Team Pedal Slave
Code of Conduct and Guidelines
It is the goal and intent of Team Pedal Slave, its racers and parents, to provide a fun, positive, supportive and encouraging atmosphere. Not just for Team Pedal Slave, but for all racers that our participants may come in contact with. For a racer to be eligible to ride for Team Pedal Slave, he/she must agree to and adhere to the terms and concepts of the teams "Code of Conduct and Guidelines" rules and guidelines. It is the perception of the other racers toward Team Pedal Slave that will help make our team a success.
The following Code of Conduct is meant to help encourage and promote our racers to the best of their abilities and ours:
- Win or lose, we will always treat other racers and teammates with respect and encouragement.
- Parents and racers will refrain from any acts of disappointment in how they raced; there is always the next race to win.
- Words of encouragement and support are always welcomed towards our riders from team parents, and toward our competition.
- Remember that if we treat other racers as winners and with respect, they will often do the same towards us.
The listed Guidelines are meant to enhance the image of the racer and the team to our competition and our current and potential sponsors:
- The racer agrees to adhere to all Code of Conduct and Guidelines at all times, at the tracks and away.
- All racers attending school shall have an acceptable grade level established by their parents in order to be eligible to race locally and nationally.
- Publicly addressing your racers performance is not an acceptable image for the team as a whole; always be positive about their performance after a race, performance can and should be addressed later, preferably away from the track and on another day.
- Racers are required to attend three Wyoming State Qualifiers, the Wyoming State Championship and at least two Nationals with the team from the list of potential Nationals identified by the team manager.
- The team jersey is to be worn at all ABA and NBL sanctioned races. The jersey or a team t-shirt is to be worn at all times at local and National races. This helps promote our team sponsors and their businesses as well as Team Pedal Slave.
- Parents and riders are encouraged to attend and participate in all team meetings and functions.
Failure to follow the team Code of Conduct and Guidelines can be cause for dismissal from the team, following a team advisors and directors meeting.
